Robinson won seven out of ten rounds in the bout, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, though two of Bell's rounds were won by him because of Robinson low punches. Robinson dished out a beating to Bell during the bout. In the 10th round, Robinson landed a long left, followed by a short right that sent Bell spinning. Bell straightened briefly, before dropping to the canvas. Bell rose at nine, and was pummelled along the ropes for the remainder of the round, as he appeared helpless. Robinson nailed Bell with a powerful left hook, before the final bell rang.
