- Lee down from a right hook to the face flash knockdown late in the first round.
- Plant outscored Lee in punches landed 40 to 7 through two rounds. Lee landed only one punch in round two.
- Plant had Lee down three times in round three. The second time looked like a slip. The third time Lee went down off balance.
- Lee got up and protested the stoppage. Lee's major issue was he had no offense, and ultimately, was merely a target moving forward to get hit.
- Referee Robert Byrd stopped the bout in the face of four knockdowns, three in the third and final round, and virtually no offense from Lee.
