Young decisively defeated Dado, winning in more convincing fashion than in their first meeting. The Honolulu Advertiser gave Young six rounds, and four for Dado. Dado cut Young's right eye in the 1st round, with the eye closing over the last three rounds. Dado had an advantage early in the bout, until Young switched to an orthodox stance, and took control of the bout. Early in the 3rd round, Young sagged Dado's knees with a right to the stomach, and drove him through the ropes, and left him with a cut eye over his right eye at the end of the round. Dado counter-punched to an edge in the 4th round, before Young came back to win the next three rounds. Dado appeared tired to begin the 8th, but rallied to carry the round. Young regained control in the last two rounds, as Dado increasingly held.
