Weiss knocked McCue down in the 1st round with a right cross to the jaw. McCue was up without a count, but was hurt and wobbled and held for the rest of the round. McCue was hurt again in the 2nd round by a right hook, before starting a rally in the 3rd round. The fight was close going into the 8th round, when McCue dropped Weiss with a right hand to the chin. Weiss rose at nine, and took a battering in the 9th round. Weiss didn't recover until the final minute of the final round, per the Allentown Morning Call.
