Susky held the advantage in the first three rounds. Quaill rushed Susky to begin the 4th round, and put him down for a no-count. Susky's face was covered in blood by the end of the 4th round, and he was hurt again at the end of the 5th round. In the 6th round, Quaill landed a left to the midriff and a short right uppercut. Susky went through the ropes, where he took the ten-count.
