- Scoring: 98-90 for Horn, 97-92 for Horn. The third scorecard went 94-94 a draw.
- Horn won by 10 round majority decision over Zerafa in the ratings important middleweight rematch, candidate for international fight of the year.
- Horn cut over left eye in first round, and the bout remained bloody as a result for all ten rounds which followed.
- Horn decked Zerafa twice with right hands to the chin late in the ninth round.
- Horn bizarrely chose to wear Zerafa's branded Rival Boxing Gloves, after his opponent’s mitts turned out to have much less padding than Zerafa's Everlast gloves, an allowance which sparked much negotiation between the trainers in both corners.
- Zerafa, commenting after the bout, felt he was robbed, but remained in good spirits."The ref (referee) I believe robbed me, but that’s boxing. ( I make) No excuses. Congratulations to Jeff, and Merry Christmas to everybody."
