Dode Bercot 142 lbs drew with Ted Krache 147 lbs by PTS in round 6 of 6

Bercot floored Krache for a nine-count in the 1st round, with a left hand to the chin. In the 3rd round, Krache "upset" Bercot with a right hand, and then dropped him in the 4th round, with Bercot claiming a foul, which was disallowed. The Seattle Times felt that Krache had a slight edge.
Bercot announced two days later that he was retiring to devote his time to matchmaking duties; he would return to boxing a few months later.
