Young outclassed Dado from the start, scoring a no-count knockdown in the opening round with a right hook to the jaw, in one of the first exchanges of the bout. Young did not rush for the knockout, as he proceeded to use his right jab to outbox Dado. Young nearly floored Dado in the 5th round, with a left hand, and had him bleeding freely from the mouth by the 6th. About a minute into the 8th round, Young landed a left to Dado's jaw, that sent Dado down in a heap. Dado managed to barely beat the count, and Young hammered him, eventually sending him to the ropes, for a count of three. Dado was in no condition to continue, and the bout was stopped.
