Palmer knocked Williams down three times in the first three rounds. Williams began to rally in the 5th round, as Palmer became more wild, attempting to knockout out Williams. Williams began working Palmer's body, and slowed him down. Williams knocked Palmer down twice in the 8th round, and had him helpless as the 9th began, when the bout was stopped.
