This bout was fought on the inside with Wright gradually wearing House down. After a burst by House drove Wright to the ropes in the 4th round, Wright turned the tables on him by the end of the round. Wright continued to have the better of things in the 5th round, as House slipped to the floor once. In the 6th, Wright drove House to the ropes and sent him to the floor with a barrage of rights and lefts. House pulled himself by grabbing the ropes, and was driven into the other corner, and put down again by Wright for a nine-count. Upon rising, Wright was all over House, and was about to send him down again when his corner's towel came flying into the ring.
