Bezenah opted to trade punches with Hambright, who was known to be dangerous early in bouts. Hambright landed one of his powerful rights in the 1st round, that didn't slow Bezenah. Bezenah outboxed Hambright over the next three rounds. In the 5th round, he scored the knockout with a short right uppercut to the chin.
