International Boxing Federation World Lightweight Title Bout

  • Spadafora retains title. Manfredy claimed after the bout the gloves were rigged so they could not fit his hands, making him unable to make a fist. The closeness of the scorecards indicates the result was neutral and fair. If Manfredy had won one more round, the bout would have been a draw at 114-114 on all three scorecards. In either case, Spadafora retains title.
  • Manfredy did not feel he won the bout. "I felt the bout was a draw. I couldn't fight with the full force of the gloves," noted Angel Manfredy.
