Junior had a slight edge in the first four rounds. Castillo had Junior reeling in the 5th round, and had him in retreat in the 6th round. Junior fought better in the last two rounds, which were even. The Biddeford Daily Journal gave Castillo a slight shade in the bout. Junior's hometown paper the Lewiston Sun gave him the nod.
