Norwegian middleweight hope Johnny Romsaas scored his 9th win in 9 fights knocking out the German Wolfgang Halbritter (5-2-5) in the first round. A right hand shook Halbritter after 30 seconds, and at 2:00 a right swing dropped the German for the full count.

There were protests from the German corner about the Norwegian hitting the German in the back of the head. Referee Kjell Svensson overruled the complaints. No formal protest were sent to EBU.

Some 2,000 people attended this card in Nordstrandhallen, Oslo.
