Mr. Dye has attended most of the big fights in the past thirty-five years. His idol is Jack Dempsey and he has seen all of his matches. Recently he was asked "what was the greatest fight you have ever seen?" His reply was, "for thrills, there was the Dempsey-Firpo fight but for the most grueling, hard-fought, equally matched bout there was the Luciano-Marak fight. He is very proud of the fact that he promoted this bout that ended in a well-deserved draw.
