Nemis set a fast pace from start-to-finish, to outpoint McCoy. McCoy "flashed" in the second and fifth rounds, per the Bangor Daily News, but Nemis' whirlwind attack forced the fight throughout.
An examination by the ringside physician determined that McCoy injured the knuckle of his index finger on his right hand in the bout. McCoy claimed this injury occurred in the first round.
