Romero knocked Berglund down for an eight-count in the 1st round with a straight left, followed by a right hand. Berglund recovered though and wore Romero down to the body and survived some difficult moments in the 6th round. Romero appeared to be close to going down in the 8th round, as the body attack had worn on him.
