There may have been better punches thrown in the Garden ring, but no one can remember a better shot than the one Joe DeNucci used to flatten Sgt Jackson Brown. It was a right to the button, traveling not more than a foot and though the Sarge was saved by the bell in the sixth, there was no chance at all of his coming out for the seventh. It took Brown?s the entire 60 seconds to put him back together and they didn?t half complete the job. When the gong tolled for the start of the seventh, poor Jackson was stilled dazed, dizzy and lost. The corner just asked it to be called. [Boston Globe]
