- Referee: Joe O'Connor
Larry "Big Boy" Rawson knocked out Jack DeMave, the golden boy from Jersey, in less than two minutes. The golden boy, in the few minutes of fighting, failed to land a solid punch. He threw a right hand to Rawson's jaw early in the proceedings and when it missed Rawson whaled him with a short right hand that carried a world of dynamite behind it. DeMave lunged into Rawson grabbing him about the waste and burying his chin, but Rawson hammered him on the back of the head with right after right. Those rights forced DeMave into a nose dive, and the golden boy took the count of nine before crawling to his feet. The Big Boy refused to waste any time on unnecessary business. Simply and earnestly, he tossed several rights and lefts. Crouching and covering, DeMave hid himself against the ropes, away from that heavy-fistic attack, but when they squared off in the center of the ring again, Rawson straightened DeMave with a left hook to the jaw and promptly stiffened him with a right cross to the jaw.
