Perroni knocked Jones down with a left hook to the head near the bell to end the 2nd round. Perroni was unable to follow through with his early advantage, as he sprained his left knee while slipping out of the ring early in the 3rd round. Jones was able to take the offensive, winning six out of the last eight rounds.
