Davis knocked Pugh down twice in the 2nd round, and once in the 3rd round. After Davis won the 4th round, he appeared to do little until the end of the 9th round. In the 10th round, Davis appeared to have Pugh out on his feet at the end of the bout. Pugh finished the bout with his left eye completely shut.
