Mell knocked Cesario down in the 6th, 8th and 10th rounds. Cesario went down without being hit in the 8th round, and also stepped outside the ring, but the referee declined to disqualify. Cesario was badly hurt after the 10th round knockdown, but there were mere seconds remaining, and he avoided being stopped.
