After winning the first 3 rounds, Nurja was knocked down from a left hook by Ramirez in round 4. Nurja was unlucky to land badly on his leg injuring himself. The ref let it continue and after motioning the fighters to box on, Nurja turned his back and walked to his corner even though the fight had been signalled to continue. Ramirez saw his chance and ran at Nurja hitting him with a left hook whilst his back was turned, wobbling Nurja against the ropes. Ramirez was within his rights to throw punches though should have been a better sportsman especially considering he was fighting the favourite in their home country. Nurja supporters jumped in the ring and attacked Ramirez then security sorted the problem.
