Miller took eight out of the ten rounds, with Farr taking two narrowly, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Enquirer felt that Miller had never appeared in better form, as he used his left hand effectively. Farr scored with right hands to the body in the bout, and bled from a cut over his right eye from the 6th round on.
