"The crowd sent up one boisterous 'boo' at the decision, and cheered Fraser wildly as he left the ring. Portillo took the first round with his sharp-shooting punches, but Fraser carried the fight to him the rest of the way, working on midsection and head, and the Mexican frequently dropped his gloves to claim a foul. Fraser stopped only a few damaging punches, but he landed steadlily."
