Jones knocked Chastain down with two short right hands at the end of the 1st round. The two fought a slow 2nd round, with Chastain fighting a better 2nd round, that the Akron Beacon Journal called even. In the 4th round, the two wrestled for awhile, before Jones saw an opening to land two short rights to Chastain's chin. Chastain went down, rolled to his back, and was counted out.
