Battling Al Murray beat Len Brenner by NWS in round 10 of 10

Brenner was knocked down for a nine-count in the 2nd round, by a right hand to the jaw. Brenner recovered and was on the attack in the 4th and 7th rounds, before Murray rallied at the end, to get a newspaper draw in the Lancaster New Era. The Lancaster News Journal felt Murray won, feeling rounds four through six were rather tame.
