Sulick (Joe Juliano) had the lead through the first three rounds. In the 5th round, Curcio cut Sulick's right eye with a left hook, which turned the fight. Sulick attempted to protect the cut after that, which bled heavily until the bout was stopped after the 7th round.
This bout was reportedly Sulick's first loss, after a 41-bout unbeaten streak to start his career.
