Flowers floored Britt with his first blow of the fight, a right to the side of the head. Britt got up, and proceeded to dominate the bout until the 7th round. In the 7th round, Flowers switched to the body, and knocked Britt down twice, the final for the count. Britt claimed the knockdown blows were fouls, but the ringside physician disagreed.
