Moniz knocked Beauchene down for a nine-count in the 2nd round, and twice in the 6th round. Beauchene was dropped for a 4th time in the 7th round by a left hook, and couldn't defend himself after rising, and the bout was stopped. Beauchene had rallied strongly after the 2nd round knockdown, and had dropped Moniz for no-count in the 5th round.
