Frank Farmer fought without result Eddie White by ND in round 6 of 6
- Date: 1911-07-04
- Location: Eatonville, Washington, USA
They wore eight-ounce gloves for this "no decision" bout, during which White was knocked down three times. This is Farmer's professional debut, according to the March 8, 1913 Tacoma Daily News, and the July 4, 1929 Tacoma News Tribune. (That former paper reported this fight occurred July 4, 1910, and that Farmer had taken "more than a year" off before having his second fight Sept. 1912, suggesting that the July 4, 1911 date may be accurate.) For this fight only, Farmer was seconded and managed by Melvin Mucklestone, the University of Washington's football star at this time. Earlier in the day Mucklestone had played in the big Fourth of July game.
