Coggins stagged Romero with a left hook in the 1st round. In the round, Coggins let Romero lead to start off the round, before hitting him with a left hook that sent him to the ropes, where he was downed by a right to the head. Romero staggered up at nine and was dropped by another right hand. Romero got up again, and was then finished by a left hook to the head.
