Brown knocked Costa down in the 3rd round for a nine-count with a right cross to the chin. Costa recovered to batter Brown in the next three rounds, and dropped him for a nine-count in the 6th round. Brown barely made it out of the round, and his corner asked that the bout be stopped after the 6th round.
