As in their first fight, Gardea knocked Murphy down in round one with a left to the jaw and gave him quite a beating until the bell. After that it was all Murphy, as he dropped Gardea for a nine count in the 3rd round, and another nine-count in the 4th round. As Gardea rose unsteady, the bout was stopped.
