Powell knocked Dias down in the 3rd round with a left to the jaw. Dias rose at the count of six, and was out on his feet for the remainder of the round, as Powell was unable to finish him. Dias came back to win the 4th round, and controlled the bout after that according to the Honolulu Advertsier. In the 10th round, Dias battered Powell for much of the round, before tiring and allowing Powell to pound him over the last fifteen seconds.
