The two engaged in a back-and-forth brawl in the first two rounds. Early in the 3rd round, Ray knocked Jordan down for a nine-count with an overhand right. After a series of punches from Ray, Jordan went down again on his face. Jordan barely beat the count of ten, but was in such bad shape that the referee stopped the bout.
