"Snell staggered his opponent in the second round and shortly afterward shot over a stinging right which sent his man down for the count. Wenatchee Daily World. (According to a later Everett Daily Herald newspaper account, this bout is credited to "Billy Lang.") The two were scheduled for a rematch, until Snell requested "faster company." Thus he was matched with Phil Lewis. (WDW, Nov. 18, p. 13.)
