Henry Woods 138 lbs beat Joe Ponce 136 lbs by KO in round 4 of 6

Woods injured his right hand early in the bout. Even though the hand was injured, Woods nailed Ponce with it in the 4th round and sent him stumbling backwards. Woods hit him twice more and sent him to the canvas. At this point, Ponce's corner threw in the towel, which was ignored in Washington rings. This turned out to be irrelevant as Ponce was in no condition to rise.
Reported as being Woods' 26th KO victory. Ponce was called "Mexican Kid Ponce" in the Seattle Times
