In a bruising, fast punching semi windup, highly touted Keeny Teran, 116, was held to a draw by Gil Cadilli, 118. Cadilli staged a furious finish in the fifth and sixth rounds to grab the dead heat after being out-punched in the early slugging by the fast-hitting Teran. Teran tired in the last two rounds, and in the fifth canto, his knees were buckled by a left hook to the chin. Teran had little trouble winning the first four rounds on our sheet as Cadilli was reluctant to open up and operated on the defensive as Keeny pursued him around the ring. However, when Teran started to fade, Cadilli made his move, and if the bout had gone another couple of rounds, the taller Cadilli would have won it hands down. Teran was a 1-2 favorite.
