Herman built up a lead in the fight with his left jab, despite suffering from a left eye that was nearly closed. In the 10th round, Herman dropped Whitewater with a right hand to the jaw for a four-count. After rising, Whitewater, was knocked down soon after by another right to the jaw. The bout was then stopped.
