Watkins appeared to have an edge over the first three rounds with his left hand. In the 4th round, Chase began to work his right hand effectively to the head and body. Chase staggered Watkins with a right hand to the chin in the 7th round. Watkins was hurt again in the 8th round, after a few more rights and a left hook sent him off balance.
