Dode Bercot lost to Macario Flores by PTS in round 6 of 6
- Date: 1924-07-01
- Location: Dugdale Park, Seattle, Washington, USA
- Referee: Adolph Schacht
Bercot raced from his corner to the start the fight, and landed a stinging right to the face of Flores. Flores responded with a right hand of his own to the face that floored Bercot. Flores would not knock Bercot down twice more in the opening round, once for a nine-count. Bercot came back to win the 2nd and 3rd round, as he drove Flores to the ropes, punishing him to the body. Flores regained control of the fight in the 4th, as he worked Bercot to the body, though Bercot rallied later in the round, only to be floored for a 4th time on a glancing shot to the chin. Bercot gave everything he had in the 5th round, in a desperate bid for a knockout, winning the round by a large margin. Bercot again came out aggressively in the 6th round, but after missing a left hand, he was staggered by a right hand counter. Bercot came back to have Flores groggy, and win the round.
