Scibelli and Green put on what the Atlantic City Press described as a sizzling scrap for five rounds, before Scibelli began to tire in the 6th round. Scibelli was knocked down by a right uppercut in the 6th round, for a seven-count. In the 7th round, Green hurt Scibelli again and sent him reeling against the ropes, and the bout was stopped.
