A right hand from Santos near the end of the 1st round, floored Dozier who got up early in the count as the bell rang not long after he rose. Dozier boxed very carefully over the last five rounds, dancing away from Santos and using his jab. Santos fought most of the fight flat-footed trying to land his right hand. The Seattle Times didn't seem to have a problem with the verdict, though some out of town papers seem to indicate that Santos was robbed.
