"Kaosai Galaxy, the WBA's fourth ranked junior bantamweight at 116, took a stunning right from Filipino Vai de Vera, 116, and hit the canvas badly. With the bell coming to his rescue. Kaosai could take a rest and fought back to stop Vera in the seventh round of a scheduled ten. There were many problems. Under the internationally accepted rules, a fighter knocked down—except in the final round—cannot be saved by the bell. But Kaosai was saved. It is said that referee Niphon Lanlua gave a slow count when Kaosai was down, but counted quickly when Vera was floored."
