"It was just a few seconds after the boys toed the mark for the second round that Farren landed a well directed right-cross on Trambitas' jaw which sent the Portland youngster through the ropes in a dazed condition. He was up in a jiffy, and Farren fairly smothered him with punches from all quarters. A left swing sent Trambitas to the mat, but he was up at the count of "four" and tried to weather the storm, but a hard right-cross which landed flush on his jaw sent him down and out, while Referee Pete Muldoon tolled off the 10 seconds."
