McDowell outslugged Fox in the first round, as he twice wrestled Fox to the floor. Fox began to pummel McDowell in the 2nd, and had him wobbling from a right hand at the bell to end the round. McDowell was in trouble again to start the 3rd, and was driven to the ropes, where Fox knocked him out with a right to the jaw.
