Houck won by a wide margin, according to all three Lancaster papers. Britton scored well in the 2nd round, but the general consensus was that he was dominated by Houck's excellent job. Britton's manager Al Janetti acknowledged that Houck's dominance, telling the News-Journal "Houck's known too much for my boy. He has too much experience. Britton is a game boy, though."
