The Scranton Republican gave Britton the edge in rounds 5-2-3. Ferguson nearly floored Britton in the 2nd round with a right hand, one of the rounds he won. Britton was particularly dominant in the second half of the bout, as he used his left hand effectively, and cut Ferguson along one of his eyes.
