Teddy Davis 131 lbs beat George Araujo 134 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Teddy 'Red Top' Davis, of Hartford, Conn., won a unanimous 10 round decision over George Araujo, of Providence, R.I. While an estimated 3,000, paying $7,000, booed and howled, referee Ruby Goldstein kept telling the fighters, "Come on, you're lousing up the Garden." Davis said he felt awful about the warnings but tried to get close enough to make a fight of it." -Associated Press

  • Unofficial AP scorecard - 6-3-1 Davis
  • Araujo was penalized the 6th round for a low blow.
